    Nuverra has immediate openings for Mechanic III at our Tioga North Dakota location. This position will perform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on diesel engines and tankers.     What you need to apply…


    • Ability to work in a fast pace changing environment
    • Valid diesel mechanic certification from vocation or trade school
    • 4 years’ experience as a mechanic required
    • Must have a valid driver’s license, Class A CDL preferred
    • Ability to troubleshoot and repair engines, transmission and rear ends
    • Ability to understand warranty coverage
    • Leadership and mentoring skills
    • Must be able to work without supervision
    • Install and perform tire maintenance
    • Must own basic hand tools, socket set up to 1 1/2” and impact wrench and various pneumatic tools
    • Previous experience in the oil/gas or trucking industry is desirable
    • Must have basic computer skills
    • Ability to pass pre-employment screening- background check, drug screening, and fitness for duty test



    Physical Requirements and Work Environment:  

    • Have a full range of mobility in upper and lower body in order to be able to work in various positions, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting, and walking for extended periods of time.
    • Be able to reach over head with hands and arms, climb or balance
    • Be able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
    • Be able to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment to assigned job tasks
    • Be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally lift and/or move 75 pounds
    • The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals
    • The noise level requires ear protection while operating equipment

    Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

    • Must be able to put safety and communication as a high priority.
    • Performs general and complex repairs of all vehicles
    • Troubleshoot hydraulic equipment and various pumps
    • Assisting other mechanics as needed and completing special projects as assigned
    • Wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE) related to task being performed as well as using all required safety equipment and procedures
    • Maintaining a neat and professional appearance of self and shop areas.
    • Will complete DOT inspections
    • Will complete documentation requirements under DOT, service and checklists
    • Will perform computer tasks including, but not limited to Cat ET, Cummins Insite and the troubleshooting tree – understand warranty coverages
    • Will communicate with supervisor and parts dept. on parts
    • Must have ability to troubleshoot issues with engines, transmissions, rear ends as wells as the ability to repair the components
