Nuverra has an immediate opening for a Recruiting Assistant at our Watford City location. The Recruiting Assistant is responsible for supporting the Recruiter in recruiting process from sourcing through on-boarding.  If you are eager to work for a leader in the industry with years of proven success, and if you are a reliable and dedicated professional then Nuverra has a home for you.  



  • Intermediate to Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office products)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Human Resources and/or recruiting administration.
  • Familiarity with DISA and iCIMS preferred.



  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Familiarity with the trucking industry and/or oil and gas operations preferred.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, confidentiality, honesty, and attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products required.
  • Communicate in a professional manner with co-workers and applicants.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and teambuilding with management and hourly employees.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to present a positive phone presence.
  • Enjoys rapid pace and changing work environment.
  • Some travel may be required.



  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • HR Certification and/or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.


Work Context & Physical Demands:

  • The position requires the ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Clearly communicate verbally.
  • Use near and distant vision.
  • Work is performed indoors.
  • Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
  • Extensive use of a computer and repetitive hand movements in the performance of duties.


Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Supports the full-cycle staffing process by coordinating recruitment activities, coordinating interview schedules, and ensuring that proper hiring practices and policies are followed.
  • Acts as a single point of contact for all new hires to ensure a seamless transition into the organization.
  • Acts as a single point of contact for the employee to Human Resources.
  • Provides support for several processes including drug screening and background checks for applicants, providing welcome letter and new hire paperwork to new hires.
  • Ensures new hire paperwork is completed properly and delivered timely to payroll.
  • Participates in new hire training in relation to benefits and company policies.
  • Provides support for DOT Compliance in relation to driver qualification files.  
  • Assist with screening and initial interviewing of applicants.
  • Assist at recruiting events.
  • Answer phones and provide general information to applicants and interested parties.
