Overview

Nuverra/PowerFuels specializes in the transportation of drilling fluids. We are dedicated to providing the safest and most reliable transportation and disposal in the Bakken Region.

We are currently seeking to fill a PIC position in our Dickinson, North Dakota location. The PIC (Person in Charge) is responsible for the logistics and traffic flow of daily loads needed to complete customer jobs, including knowledge of trucks and documentation of barrel counts and loads. Communicates with customers, drivers and peers to ensure customer expectations are met, and ensure safety measures are followed at all times.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and a history of safe driving as exhibited by state MVR report
  • Three (3) years prior commercial driving experience strongly preferred and 3 years of customer service experience preferably in the industry
  • Training may be required before assuming position, depending on prior experience
  • Excellent communication skills

 

Educations:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Training may be required before assuming position, depending on prior experience

 

Physical Demands

  • Have a full range of mobility in upper and lower body in order to be able to work in various positions, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting, and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Be able to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment and able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays

 

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Direct logistics and traffic flow to meet the customers’ needs; know how many barrels of water is needed, what is left to complete the job, and what is expected for the shift being worked.
  • Know how many trucks are coming on to their location, including the number of drivers working and whether more or less are needed to meet the customers demand.
  • Reinforces a “Safety First” culture by maintaining a safe work environment, modeling through your own behavior, and ensuring employees are wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Track barrel counts and loads using tank levels and load tickets. Document loads and barrels of water per shift.
  • Assist drivers as needed backing into locations.
  • Maintain and enhance business relationships with customers through consistent communication with customers, peers, and drivers and making adjustments where necessary to complete customer jobs safely and on time.
  • Other duties as assigned.
