Overview

Nuverra/PowerFuels specializes in the transportation of drilling fluids. We are dedicated to providing the safest and most reliable transportation and disposal in the Bakken Region. Nuverra provides comprehensive, full-cycle environmental solutions that protect the environment, enhance customer operations, and advance our energy independence.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate in discussing driving careers on the phone and face to face, someone who is able to work independently, deliver results, has high energy and able to proficiently use technology.

 

Position Summary

Recruiters perform a critical role in growing Nuverra’s driving fleet of safe, service oriented driving professionals. As a Recruiter you will pro-actively recruit, screen and hire qualified candidates for Nuverra Environmental Solutions in approved geographic regions and in accordance with company guidelines, DOT regulations and Federal and State Employment Laws.

Qualifications

Required

  • Outgoing personality with positive attitude
  • Must be an excellent communicator (both oral and written)
  • Must be comfortable speaking to groups and individuals
  • Ability to organize, prioritizes, and meets deadlines
  • Flexible "can-do" attitude and strong sense of urgency
  • Some DOT Regulations and Federal and State Employment Laws knowledge
  • Strong computer skills and fluency with Microsoft programs including Outlook
  • Some knowledge of HR principles and practices
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
  • Must be able to travel as required
  • Must be able to develop recruitment sources from trade schools, media, truck schools, internet, and canvassing efforts and maintain a rapport with these sources.
  • Able to project a professional, inviting, and polished image that inspires confidence and trust.

Preferred

  • Two years of experience in recruiting, preferably in a trucking environment
  • Knowledge of internal software applications (i.e. iCIMS, Paycor, DISA, E-Verify, etc.)

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required
    Associate or Bachelor’s degree in relevant field a plus

  • Frequent use of recruiting software / tracking / sites

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

  • Know and understand Nuverra driver qualification requirements, DOT Regulations, Federal and State Employment Laws.
  • Obtain driver leads and contact potential candidates via phone, e-mail, and fax as necessary to establish contact and begin building rapport.  Pro-actively reach out to and engage every qualified lead.
  • Answer incoming calls and inquiries generated from various sources such as ads, billboards, networking, etc. and guides candidate in screening process to determine eligibility from information supplied to the company according to standard criteria.
  • Conduct interviews via phone, Skype or in person and disseminates company information regarding potential employment opportunities.
  • Sell Nuverra by being a positive “first contact” and company advocate by accurately and professional expressing the opportunities and benefits of driving for Nuverra.
  • Execute conditional offers of employment or issue denials of employment to non-qualified applicants via professional phone interaction or other means of communication, and record information as determined by regulations or Company standards.
  • Schedule and confirm orientation start date with applicants and notify District Managers of orientation attendees.
  • Evaluate and recommend beneficial recruiting resources to utilize to successfully generate leads and attract potential drivers to meet Company hiring goals.
  • Maintain/update applicant database and provide reports as requested such as sourcing reports, applicant tracking, and other recruiting based data as directed by management.
  • Prepare and present professional and accurate information about Nuverra driving opportunities as needed to potential applicants at schools, job fairs etc.
