We are currently seeking a Parts Specialist Night Shift to serve one of the largest oil shale regions in the United States.

Qualifications

Requirments, Skills and Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Must be able to read and comprehend instructions written in English
  • Must be proficient with computer skills, including use of Web to obtain information on various vendors for servicing our fleet
  • Ability to mulita-task and work with multiple people at one time
  • Must have strong math and organizational skills
  • Must be able to follow directions from others
  • Be friendly, professional, and efficient when working with everyone, both on the phone and in person
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds repeatedly.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift operation experience preferred

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Must comply with all corporate policies and procedures
  • Assist service technicians and drivers in selecting parts needed for repairs in progress
  • Order parts as approved by Shop Foreman
  • Help keep control of all expenses on freight, supplies, and lift trucks. Make sure that we always get the most competitive price for our money.
  • Notify the Shop Foreman that ordered parts have been received
  • Ensure that before parts can be charged out, the technician presents the repair order.
  • Determine if the part is not in stock, availability and submit an emergency order if requested.
  • Pull billed parts from stock
  • Unpack and examine incoming shipments, check in per packing slip, reject damaged items, record damages and or shortages. Correspond with shipper to rectify damaged items and shortages
  • Maintain an efficient bin location system and ensure that parts are stocked correctly and promptly accordingly
  • Issue credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice or its number is available so that purchase and pricing can be verifies. Exemptions must be approved by the parts manager.
  • Operate lift truck or use hand truck to move parts
  • Return all cores in a timely manner and follow for receipt of credit.
  • Ensure that unused “foreign parts” are returned to vendor.
  • Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery or pickup.
  • Keep current on new products and product updates.
  • Ensure the work station is kept clean, especially computer. Dispose of excess boxes in a timely manner
  • Attend one company safety meeting put on by safety department per month
  • Perform any additional tasks or duties as assigned
